Whilst recovering from their suicide attempts in a psychiatric hospital, a romance blossoms between NICOLA and LUKE. If they can navigate dating rituals and the ward staff intent on separating them, they just might have a chance to fall in love.
A Place of Safety is a refreshingly honest, subtly humorous story about healing, redemption and how sometimes, love can be found in the most unlikely places. A celebration of realistic patients with responsible storytelling based on the writer’s lived experience of mental healthcare.
